HEALTH PROTOCOL REGULATIONS REGARDING COVID-19 FOR INDONESIA'S INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC TRAVEL
Effective September 1st, 2022
Based on the Circular Letter of the Indonesia Covid-19 Task Force number 24 & 25, year 2022
Before travel to Indonesia, please take a note:
All Indonesian Citizen can enter the country.
All foreign travelers are allowed to enter the territory of Indonesia with one of these criteria:
Obtain a visa (visa Indonesia).
Foreign nationals who enter Indonesia under the Travel Corridor Arrangement scheme (United Arab Emirates, China, South Korea, Singapore).
Hold a written permit from related Ministry or Institution.
For All Indonesian Citizen and Foreign Nationals arriving in Indonesia, please note:
Travelers are required to download and use the SatuSehat app prior to departure.
Travelers are not required to show a negative RT-PCR test result.
Isolation or self-quarantine is not required for travelers fully vaccinated with a booster (third dose).
Travelers arriving in Indonesia must provide a COVID-19 vaccination certificate with complete vaccination and booster at least 14 days before departure.
Important Notes
*: Provide a letter as evidenced by a doctor's certificate from the government hospital of the country/region of origin.
**: Indonesian citizens without vaccination overseas will receive vaccination at the entry point.
***: Foreign nationals in Indonesia will get vaccination via programs based on regulations.
Health Protocol upon arrival at Entry Point:
Document checking (as mentioned above).
Health examination regarding COVID-19 symptoms, including a body temperature check.
If detected with COVID-19 like symptoms, then:
Note: All incurred costs for Indonesian citizens will be paid by the government. Foreign nationals bear their own costs or those of their sponsors.
For Indonesian citizens traveling overseas:
All Indonesian citizens traveling overseas must show a COVID-19 vaccination certificate with a complete vaccination and booster at least 14 days before departure via the SatuSehat app. The requirement above is excluded for:
Those with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent vaccination, as evidenced by a doctor's certificate.
Those who have recovered from COVID-19 but are unable to receive the second dose vaccination must bring a COVID-19 recovery certificate.
Relaxation of Requirements to Malaysia
Effective August 1st, 2022, Malaysia has relaxed travel requirements.
Wearing masks on board is optional except for destinations where masks are mandatory. Recommended for:
a. Passengers with symptoms like fever or cough.
b. High-risk individuals such as the elderly or those with chronic diseases.
